8MM FOOTAGE 81" TOUR

Has anyone seen this footage over at the roth pages?
Or is this way old news? Pretty cool footage it is not
the greatest because its edit is all over.I have never seen
any other footage other than what we have seen the 3 tunes.
Atleast I have not.Just proves that that there is a full show
from that tour out there! Thought it was Daves site I was wrong.

It sounds like it the Chicago 1981 stuff... 7/10 & 11... it's incomplete and was, originally, silent, but someone dubbed the audio from 7/10 (different source) over the 8mm. It's been traded around in the bootleg community.

Yes we all know there not complete shows! I stated that there is other footage if not complete video of one of the 81 shows.Basesd on the footage ive seen over years..

I thought they did play it live.

But I could be wrong, my memories of that show are a bit hazy in my old age. I do remember the cameras tho. And yeah I know I've mentioned that time and again, but I truly believe that - having been there - that they recorded the whole show.

Lights, camera, action........... (the camera lights were on all thru the show)

Dave said that most of the time, the cameras had no film in them.

However, Van Halen was to film the 3 shows in Oakland 81 but according to Dave during the Jim Ladd interview he did, the first 2 shows were garbage and the 3 vids from 81 were all that exist from the 3rd show
