I believe that was the Jason Becker show at the Riviera in Chicago. It was a great show, I really enjoyed it. Eddie's the man.

I might be wrong but that looks like Billy Sheehan on bass.

The lineup was Steve Lukather (guitar, vocals), Eddie VH (guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass), and Pat Torpey (drums). This was the ALS benefit for Jason Bec ker just after Gary Cherone was announced as the new singer in VH.

I just put up their cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Fire" from the same show:

The EVH thing was ok, yet did anyone happen to check out Jason Becker playing the Paggannini(sp) bit on the same page? Holy shit!

    Fire, totally kicks Ass!
When Luke is playing his solo, you can see Eddie and Billy exchanging tapping, pretty cool.

If I remember correctly, at this benefit show, people started to scream EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE!!, and Ed, went to the mic and started screaming JASON JASON JASON!!!

The Caracas '83 "Mean Street" from the top page was great...I still think the best cover video ever was from Sao Paulo '83 "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers" ala ZZ Top:
...and, no, it wasn't Rio, it was Sao Paulo...
much better copies out there, but you get the idea...

Yeah, Ozzy always has found great guitarists through the years...it would've been amazing to see what Randy Rhoads would've done had he lived...
