My Morning Jacket
Anyone here familiar with this band? I've heard a few good things about them, enough to make me curious, but haven't heard any of their stuff. I read in a review that they're one of the best live bands working right now. I'd give that honor to the Black Crowes, but I've never seen or heard My Morning Jacket.
What's their sound? What bands might you lump them with? What's their best album? Recommendations?
I'm always looking for good new music. Let me know if they're worth checking out.The only adventures I regret
are the ones I missed,
and the thought of all the pretty girls

Incredible band!!! I would lump them into the same category at The Flaming Lips perhaps? Very unique sound. They started out as a fringe southern jam band kind of thing, but have really developed their own thing lately. Their last album "Z" was on many Best Of The Year lists last year. I saw them on Austin City Limits and they are incredible live too. I put them in my top 5 favorites right now. Give "Z" a try (it will take more than one listen), and then start looking into their past stuff.
