Unlike some of the Posts on the Forum...I am a little dismayed with the recent activities in the respective Dave and V.H. camps! I don't look at Dave without a guitarist as hope for a possible Reunion...I look at it as another Big step backward from getting any new music at all, so much for a new Dave CD...And Both V.H. and Dave without Major recording deals...which Label would want to attempt to waste their Money on the Soap Opera thats going on...How depressing!

I don't know. No offense to Bart, but Dave is probably the biggest thing he has done aside from the Punks. Why would he just leave? Doesn't make sense in a practical way. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean Dave is back in VH. There was that rumored Japenese guitarist Dave might be working with. Perhaps, Dave asked Bart to leave, because he had this new guy, or because the deal with VH is ready.

I think some of the assumptions are crazy. Why does Dave being without a band suddenly change anything? Had a call came from Eddie last summer, Dave would have dropped his touring band without a second thought.

Those guys who were in Dave's band are hired professionals. Dave isn't going to pay them to be inactive, and they're not going to sit around without pay. Is it surprising that they've moved on? It shouldn't be.

Van Halen is dead as a band. David Lee Roth looks to be headed the same way. We're not going to be seeing any of these guys on a stage anytime soon.

While I agree VH is dead, you never know with Dave. He may tour in 2002 on a limited basis like he did in 2001. And if he does, I'll be there.

Van Halen as we know it has been dead for about 7 years. David Lee Roth for all intent and purposes has been dead for 13 years.

He was kicking serious 1981 ass in Philly last year. He's only 20 years behind schedule. Dave's recent "solo career" has been nothing but a second-rate rehash of events from a LONG time ago. He's a budgie riding on the back of the Van Halen hippopotamus.

Even if he does tour, it's still the same old show. Don't get me wrong, though. I enjoy it very much. Going out and playing in front of a VH tribute band is the last act in Dave's solo career, however. It seems that's all he's capable of anymore.

Actually I think Dave's last tour was designed around all old school VH just to prove to Ed and company that he still CAN do it. He proved it to me without a doubt. His show was awesome!

Also lets face facts. Dave and VH's time is basically over. There comes a time in every bands run when you become a nostalia act. That time is now for VH and Dave. Will people come to see them with new material? Yep, but only if their reunited.

That Japanese Guitarist( TOSHI HIKETA) is working on a solo project with Ray Luzier and James Lomenzo. Therefore DLR has no band.

The core of the VH camp of course is Ed, Al and Mike. But it can also include others that help the band run such as managers, publicists(?), lawyers, guitar techs, etc and to a lot less degree, Brad.
