Okay, first off, please keep reading cause i don't want ya'll to flame me.

I got started with Van Halen two days after i picked up a guitar when a kid brought in the his laptop and showed the guitar teacher eruption and asked him to help him learn it. I am only sixteen and everyone here(except ScottyBHarris) knows way more than i do about van halen.

okay thanks for being patient. I think that as long as Van Halen has Eddie, Alex, or anyone with Van Halen as a last name the band will still be Van Halen.
I mean as long has whoever replaces Sam and Mike can make us "feel the Music" as Ed says i will still be a fan. I have nothing against the past members of the band, but i guess Ed feels its time to move on and after all he does own Van Halen. And in my opinon all those who say I won't see Van Halen without Mike are spewing BS cause a couple of weeks ago when that DJ started talking they said they'd be the first in line for tickets.

    Well:

From a personal stand point, i can see where your coming from.

I myself would see them without Mike and Sam. Just to here the new or replecated sound of yesteryear. It would be like going to see a jam session. Even if they play a few old tracks. If they did resurface with Wolfie on VOCALS and DAD and UNCLE behind them it would Van Halen. Just not in it's whole like I have seen them in the past with HAGAR ROTH OR ANTHONY or anyone else. I mean you got HAGAR and ANTHONY doing the classics. You have ED and BIG AL showing up a Country Western concert. I mean it's ok I think to have a little fun. I mean it's his son. Wolfie can play so why not expose it a little. It's ok to be creative and launch off into another campaign. I can only quote what I heard Alex say during the 04 tour and that was a new album later with Sammy on the vocals. With that, I can only hope. Rumors of the return of Roth because Ed's willing to try again. I think it won't happen. I think Ed's solo stint with NINN was to give the fans a taste of the new sound. I mean some new sound was introduced during the 04 tour. I heard it durning his solo. So in response to your statemet. Yes. I would stand in line to by ticket. It's there sound that gets me going. I mean vocals are a must I think, but to have a solo tour would be sweet. If they introduce a new bass player and vocalist. I probably wouldn't like it but I would sample it.
All songs written and performed by:

Edward Van Halen: Lead Guitars, Backround vocals
    Sammy Hagar: Lead Vocals, Acoustic/Guitars
    Michael Anthony: Bass/ Backround Vocals
    Alex Van Halen: Drums/Percussions/Back Vocals
Sammy Hagars solos available on Geffen
Special Thanks to: Valerie, Wolfie, Sue, Kari,Claudio for introducing the RedRocker to us Al's Harem and kids, Elisha, Taylor, Kama/ all the fans past and present: all recordings done at "5150" where else! A nod and wink to Ed Leffler.
Irving Azoff/ All the staff at Warner Bros. past and present/ Gary Cherone for giving his all/ David Lee Roth for getting us there and oh yea Ray Daniels, for keeping the bathrooms clean during all the performances. Oh yea, your fucking check is in the mail and next time you whip your bullshit on us again, where taking your ass to Cabo and pounding mud up your ass till you cough up sand for the loss of 8 years. nuff said, IT"S 5150 TIME

Technically if someone breathing with a surname of Van Halen is in the band you are correct.

Wrong or right... Most people thing of the original classic lineup as Van Halen. Some percentage accepted Van Hagar with the same name but many feel it was a very different band with that fat capri wearing bozo singing.

I kinda look at it as if George and Ringo went off after the split and tried to call it the Beatles... I wouldn't buy it and most fans would say it doesn't fly. I know... no use of anyone's surname but you get the point.

Van Halen was Ed, Dave, Mike & Alex. Sorta was w/ Sam and Gary. I say leave the band name and the legacy alone if Ed wants some other deal or just call it the Van Halen Project or some shit...

I agree. Eddie is giving us a taste of his new sound.

On this one, ZZ you are dead right. Van Halen was extremely lucky with the Hagar era, as far as keeping the name and keeping themselves relevant. With Gary, it didn't take. With all the shit they've put every faction of the fan base through, they should just let it rest.
2004 was a joke. I, for one, am not interested in any more disasters with the VH name attached. If Sam came back it would be a disaster, if Dave came back it would be a disaster.
Best to just let the brothers move on with Wolfie, or somebody else and just call it something different. Edward Van Halen & Wings maybe?

    SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls

"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.
Those of you who have been on this ride before, the hottie in the mini will be around shortly with your drinks......." Red
