Default EDDIE VAN HALEN Says He Is Open To Playing With DAVID LEE ROTH Again

Guitarist Eddie Van Halen appeared on "The Howard Stern Show" this morning (September 8) to promote the upcoming porn movie called "Sacred Sin", for which he recorded two songs. During the interview, Eddie stated he is open to playing again with former VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth, and described himself as being on the outs with VH bassist Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar (he referred to Sammy and Michael's THE OTHER HALF touring group a "cover band"). He also revealed that his next venture into music will be an album featuring himself, his brother Alex Van Halen on drums, and Eddie's son, Wolfgang.
As previously reported, Van Halen will co-host a party for the launch of "Sacred Sin", on September 30. The event is being dubbed "The Gathering", and the guitarist is teaming up with director Michael Ninn for the private, invitation-only bash on at "the 5150 Estate in Los Angeles," which is presumably Van Halen's home.

Van Halen previously explained his relationship with Ninn to the adult industry website AVN.com by saying, "I'm working with a friend — very simple. I like his work. Michael Ninn is like a Spielberg to me: the imagery, the way he makes things look, just... sensual."

The two new songs are "Rise", which Van Halen wrote, and a remix of a track titled "Catherine", which was originally the theme music from Ninn's 2005 movie of the same name, according to Launch Radio Networks. The guitarist said, "If 'Catherine' doesn't move you, you're brain-dead." Van Halen also supplied some of the piano music that's heard throughout "Sacred Sin".

"Sacred Sin" will be released next Wednesday (September 13). The DVD is supposed to feature Van Halen in music videos for the two full-length songs. Clips of the music and the movie can be found at ninnworx.com/sacredsin, but it is an adult movie, so all the necessary precautions should be taken.

So is he preparing Wolfgang for Mikey's spot on a DLR tour?

This forum is for discussing the past of Van Halen, not for the present. If you look over in the Present/Future forum, you'll find a big huge thread going on about this.
