Queensryche/Maiden

Saw Queensryche last night, bought the new Iron Maiden cd today.

Queensryche played Operation Mindcrime I, then Mindcrime II, then two or three 'hits'. Ended with Jet City Woman. Great show. They didn't miss a note. If you're into them, it's definitely worth checking out. They played almost 3 hours if a remember correctly. (beers)

Like for the Emeralds? I remember they were with Atlanta for a few years in the mid '90s or so. Since about 1980 I've probably went to over 400 Ems games. For about five years or so I went to almost every home game.

I got drafted by the Braves in 1995, played 2 weeks for the Emeralds, got hit in the face by a pitch, missed the rest of the season. Had surgery, (titanium plates in my face), came back to Eugene in '96, led the league in home runs (21).

Drank my balls off/partied every night in your fine town. Met a lot of chicks by the way. My main complaint of the Northwest is the beer. You guys have a ton of that black, thick, I don't even know what it is. Also the bars/microbrew? places. NO BUDWEISER!! Unheard of my whole life untill your area.

Still had a blast. Bought Bud at the grocery stores.

Two great bands, seeing them both Maiden oct 4 and Queensryche nov. 10.

I'm seeing Queensryche in Portland in October.

This will be my 10th Ryche show. Also seen the Geoff Tate Band twice, Soulbender (Michael Wilton) once, and Chris DeGarmo (with Jerry Cantrell)another time.

As for Maiden, damn...they don't tour this area very often. Seen 'em three times but nowhere near enough. I feel Maiden is pretty much the best band in the world.
