We should "Get a Life"??? Well Mr. Ed

Apparently Eddie Van Halen, once lovable guitarist of rock group Van Halen, as issued a gauntlet of sorts to us desperate fans who him to do something by simply summoning us, to well, get a life. First off, Mr. Van Halen, maybe we do go a little overboard about you and the band and its prolonged periods of inactivity due to your obvious problems of getting along with a singer and your clear avoidance of eating crow to get the first two back in the fray. I will always love the music you put out, and yes, you could be playing tuba but it could still sound like you some way somehow. This is the modern age, this Internet stuff does go a little further than the usual gold ole days when fans only outlet was letters and meeting people face to face to let their feelings known and heard. Maybe I am reading too much into the Get A Life sign that was shown during the Catherine video, but with him putting two smokes on his guitar and chug-a-lugging at the end and then on top of that that sign something tells me that good ole Ed is trying to tell his fanbase something. I love every album Van Halen put out, even most of III even though it does not measure up to previous stuff in terms of being a "Van Halen" album, seems to be a Eddie Van Halen solo album before there was actually one to begin with, speaking of the solo album,when is the release date Ed, July of 2007 perhaps? I watch a lot of the You Tube stuff when Ed was very in tune with things, not the Iggy Pop incognito routine he or you does or do now. I hope he or you realize that some of us here are almost as big music lovers as he/you are, and Van Halen is one of our favs, if not the favorite. Us Get a Life? It's only rock n' roll, but we hear like it!! Life is precious, not to be messed with or tampered with, we know that, does he know that? We only have one go around, then we are bucked off or our time is ran out. Pardon the corny rodeo metaphor, but it certainly rings true in this regard. Eddie, we are mostly good hearted peeps who care about you and your band's well being, what is really wrong with that? We could not care, but after the albums and tours it is hard not to wonder what is going on. Peace out

The idea that it was directed at you shows that you suffer from a paranoid psychosis, you need mental help.

Ed may have that sticker for himself, it's a sound message, although in Ed's case it should read 'Get a guitar satnd".
