Question regarding Won't Get Fooled Again Cover

Hi,
This may have already been answered in the forum, but could not find anything in any searches. When VH covered the Who's "Won't get Fooled Again" on the Live- RHRN album, was that actually played live during a show, or was that recorded in the studio with audience sound pumped in. If it was played live, during what tour did they perform this cover.

I heard it live once in Denver, Fiddlers Green (outdoors) a summer time show in spring/summer of 1992 I believe, had to be after the FUCK tour because that was 2 shows back to back indoors (Denver's cold) at Mcnichol's arena, and I was at one of those shows, but they didn't play it indoors, it was the outdoor show a few months later when they played it. I remember drinking 151 at that show, in the 3rd row and playing with some married babe's boobs, and everything else was a little fuzzy. Yeah, they did play it live between FUCK and RHRN, and it was a tight cover.

I still don't believe this to be the case. I've heard the "De-audienced" version of this....and the music and vocals were precisely the same.

I'd post it if I still had it, so sadly I have no proof.

I dunno about "polished" but it was indeed the same song sans the audience.

Hmm. Funny that, 'cause maybe it's just me, but I always thought that particular track on RHRN sounded cleaner than the rest. And now that I type that out, I remember this rumor being threaded a few times before at various sites, but I can't recall the final yea or nay on whether it was true, and whether the track ever got leaked in full.

It's no rumor. I've heard it. Now, maybe the sound of the audience was professionally deleted from a legit live track.....but it sure as fuck was a clean extraction.

I believe it was never really played live. According to vhtrading's website, it doesn't appear on any of the setlists for the Hagar era:

It was recorded in the 5150 studio for a little promo video thing they did promoting RHRN and it sounds pretty damn close to what was put out on the album.

AFTER the FUCK tour??!?!?! What was the date?... I've never heard this before!
