L.A. area fans Hagar will play at Gibson.
Just heard on Klos that Sammy will be playing Gibson (formerly universal amp.) on Friday Oct.20. I think tix go on sale Sept. 10, but not sure. I'm pretty sure this is a station sponsored event, so I can't find anything posted online about it anywhere. Stay tuned!

Oh, haven't you heard? The laws that govern the universe don't govern the Squalen, apparently.
"Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.
"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."
-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"
"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

Just got my tix....and I feel like an idiot:
A) I missed the klos internet pre-sale.
B) I accidentally got one ticket because I wasn't paying attention when I was submitted my info. to ticketmaster.
C) So, my wife and I will be sitting in two separate sections....If you shake my hand better count your fingers - Mustaine

Just got home......Michael Anthony was a "no show". That was a bummer for me. The show was still cool, I'll elaborate more tomorrow morning.

Highlights for me: finally hearing "good enough" played live. Vic Johnson, people rag on him, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching him tear it up all night long. I thought the band did an amazing version of "whole lotta Led" that transitioned into the ending "fast" part of Little White Lie....very cool. Great Atomosphere, great seats, killer sound, and Sam's voice is still amazing.
Lowlights: Jon Lovitz opening the show??? Bad idea. He wasn't very funny, and a bunch of drunk redheads were not there to see a comic, and grew very impatient and let their frustrations be know.
No Michael Anthony. Only 3 VH songs. Sam barely played 2 hours, more like an hour an 45 minutes (but in his defense, shit when I'm 59 I hope I have as much energy as Sam) Lastly, L.A. traffic sucks ass, but it was still better than driving out to the Land of the Dirt.If you shake my hand better count your fingers - Mustaine
