    With Summer over, the oil companies are sending out their price cap contracts to us oil for heat users... Let's Compare!!

    Saveless Oil, Northeast CT
    Cap Price Plan
    $150 Security Deposit
    A: 2.759/gal Downside Insurance Fee of $149 (400-1300gallons)
    B: 2.759/gal Downside Insurance Fee of $189 (1300-2000gallons)

    Fixed Price Plan
    $250 Security Deposit
    $2.729/gal [Exact gallons based on previous 3 years usage]

    Pre-Buy Price Plan
    $2.699/gal

    Junk like that is yet another reason I'm glad I live in the South. My all electric house bill (2000 SF) averages around $150/month. Granted, winter is the roughest time of year 'cause a heat pump is no match for the cold (40 deg. F) that is typical of a winter day here.

    About 1200 a season... Shit, my electric bill alone is $90-130/month... Gotta love Connecticut... Operating costs for businesses are so high for utilities, no wonder there's a giant sucking sound up here...
