2 questions
Hello, everybody
This is my first post. I hope someone has the answers.
1- Who plays harmonica on "The Full Bug"?
2- In his book "Crazy from the Heat", Dave says he worked on half the songs from the "5150" album before leaving the band. Does anyone exactly what songs?
Thanks in advance.
Claude

It has to be Dave on the first one, since he did it spot on live that tour.
The second one, in a way, is true. Good Enough and Eat Thy Neighbor (later to become Summer Nights) were recorded with Dave. It was never said that half the album was complete, but has been confirmed that Good Enough and Eat Thy Neighbor were recorded with Dave.In and out. I didn't even make that pun on purpose.

Thanks a lot, guys. That's very interesting.
I'll also quote Dave's book to prove I didn't come up with some badly documented story.
From page 237, "Wars and remembrance" chapter :
"...It had been easier for them to put a new album together because I had worked with Edward on half of that album already. Brought in a new singer, went right to all those old tapes and started with that as their go point, so it was much easier for them to reconstruct..."

I'd bet it was Dave on the Harmonica
AS far as what he worked on on 5150, Ed says in an old guitar world that Dave heard the music for Good enough, Summer nights and maybe parts of Dreams.

Achievements:
This probably won't help much, but I dug a little through my Van Halen encyclopedia, and it says that there were 3 tracks written with Dave for 5150 before he left, with "Eat Thy neighbor" being one of them along with a different version of Summer Nights.
Couldn't find anything else concrete other than that Eddie had started writing Dreams before Dave's departure. Might be able to find more, but it'd take forever goin' through all those alphabetical entries. Oh well, I guess.

2.) I just remember hearing Michael commenting in '86 that everything you hear on 5150 is from "this band right here". Sounded like everything recorded was written / worked-up by "New Halen".

I'm not a Sambot. I think I've made it very clear I can't stand him, and YES post VH matters. He's this supposed all-time legendary frontman. I keep hearing who should be in the class of Jagger,...
