Watching those clips just makes you go

They were so happy and got along so well.

Makes you realize a lot of the problems within the band nowadays probably does center around the fact that Sammy Hagar has become such a success with the Cabo Wabo and related products, while the Van Halens are just bitter that they thought it was a failing business and sold their share to Sammy. Bad business decision on the brothers part seeing as though if Sammy had stayed in the band that Cabo could be synonymous with Van Halen instead of Sammy Hagar.

2. sammy hagar sold halen the fuck out.
hagar sais it himself at 2:33 of the video. "suckers"

yeah the music is great and damn its a good time down there but we all know that cabo was the beginning of the end for van hagar.

no, no , no. I don't think Sam had any ill intentions when they opened the cabo wabo. I don't think he tried to screw them when they sold thier shares. Just a bad desision that has been amplified by the fact that sams making tons of $$$$ off of it and the brothers arent. If they would have stuck with it they still would be making cash off of it right now.

The begining of the end of Van Hagar came the day when ed lefler died and ray daniels started weasling his way into al and ed's heads. Ed hasn't been the same since, listen to ed in any interview prior to Lefler dying and listen to one after or better yet read one and you can see his whole tone changed.

it's almost like it's 2 totally different people....man, I really miss the old Ed, always happy, always smiling, watch how sam and ed interact with each other during those clips or anyone in the band..that's van halen, that's what I remember.
