Brad was asked if the band would make a CD soon and if the band still existed....His reply:

"The band exists, they just don't have a singer yet. Once they do, they'll make another album."

Not gonna analyze this...just interesting that he said something with some substance...

One of my favorite quotes from a movie is from Rocky II. After Adrian wakes from her coma she tells Rocky to 'Win'. (No this isn't the quote). Right after that, Mickey says in his rough, intense voice, 'What the hell are we waiting for!!'. I think Mike needs to tell the Van Halen brother this.

That is the question.

It becomes more and more obvious with each "nugget" of "news" that they aren't working with DLR. Why not just tell us now so half the people on this message board will flame the band for the next week, run off, and never be heard from again?

Dave isn't in, Dave isn't out. I suspect they can't come to a financial (and possibly artistic) agreement.

Is anyone taking into account that if these guys got together 6-8 months ago and they did not like what they herd coming out of Roth. Another words there weighing the whole reunion thing with weather or not they can continue as a band with Roth. I said it before, I seriously doubt that Roth can keep up with the level of sound quality that Van Halen has fine tuned over the last 5 years in there Live shows. I still say they should go with a young guy who sounds just like Roth did 20 years ago. Please don't give me Gary as an example of how this didn't work before. Gary was a poor choice for several reason's. One of them not being his ability to sing. He sounded to much like Hagar on VHIII, and his chemistry did not fit the band. They get a young guy who's hungry and doesn't mind covering the old stuff , has the right look and stage presence, and they put out a Kick-ass CD, VH will be back on top. No question in my mind. Seeing Roth in 1999 and hearing what he's done the past 20 years musically, I have very little confidence that he can perform at the level they need him to.

The show I saw, Dave was soundin' pretty damn good to me. That Ashley Abernathy song sounded pretty good too. And what do you mean hearing the stuff he's done in the past 20 years? 20 years ago, him and the boys were recording FAIR WARNING.

I don't believe Ed is that well, don't care what anyone says, INCLUDING him or Val. Like he said, cancer is a very private matter, and the face they put on for the public is hardly reality IMO.
