    Default filler for pickup void?

Hey can someone tell me what to use to fill the void where pickup cutouts are on a strat. I have a hondo replica strat and want to convert to a 5150 lookalike. Does anyone know if a strat neck replica will fit the hondo body! Thanks!

If you are totally refinishing it (which I assume you are) most people suggest filling as much as possible with a block of wood cut to fit the hole, then fill the rest with "Bondo" which is used for auto body repair.

You might be better off trying to find some blank pickguard material and cutting a new one for a single humbucker. filling in those holes, while possible, might not turn out exactly as you think they will. If you're a good enough artist with filler material feel free to try, however.
