Vicente Amigo
Don't know how popular this guy is outside of Europe but he's quickly taking over Paco De Lucia's throne as the new king of flamenco, albeit, not as dark as the past master. He's quickly become one of my favourite guitarists, right up there with Al Di Meola and Eduardo Fernandez.
Check out this video of him playing a solo piece, very creative and just simply pure magic.

good to know.
for me, 2 of the definitive gtr records have always been Paco's work with
Di Meola & McLaughlin on Friday Night in San Francisco and Passion Grace &
Fire. Not pure flamenco, but just some of the best ac gtr you're likely to hear.
Every technique is there and the compositions are great, and the live vibe of
the Frisco set is really cool.
Recomended
...They did a 3rd record later on and that's cool too.
Doesn't a part of that PF riff also sound like Metallica Fade to Black?
