    Default Daves future...A new book.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Roth is working on a follow-up to his 1997 autobiography, "Crazy from the Heat." Titled "The Tao of Dave: Rock 'n' Roll Philosophy with David Lee Roth," the forthcoming book will "find the self-proclaimed toastmaster of the immoral majority dispensing knowledge, wisdom, action packed anecdotes and knock-you-on-your-a-- chili recipes amidst a collection of personal artwork and photos in what is sure to be the most off-the-hook philosophy book ever written," according to his website.

Actually, this is the one thing I've been looking forward to for the past two years, as far as direct product from Van Halen members, other than Sam's new LP, which left things to be desired.

Written words from band members are to be treasured. Although this sounds like it will be less about the ongoing Halen saga - or lack thereof - and more about Dave ramble and prattle. S'cool. I liked his first book, a lot, really the only book out there regarding VH worth a damn.

Since it won't be much about VH, I don't have much interest. As far as his first book, I did read the chapter about the 1996 breakup -- none of the rest. Just so hard to know what to believe out of this guys mouth. Just tried to compare it to what the VH bros were saying and figure out something in between.
On Sam's new LP, agree entirely. I hate to say it, but it sucks (couple of songs are OK at best). How many damn songs does the guy have to mention Cabo in? He's a pimp for his products, that's fine. But Jesus Christ, we get it Sam.

Fact or fiction you never know with Mr Roth but in saying that I for one will give it a go. Can't believe you only read the one chapter - its entertainin' to say the least!!

Oh, you've gotta' read it. His stories of his travels are cool - I'd love a whole book of that. But the BEST is his memories of being on the road. They are SO FUNNY!

Will look forward to this. loved CFTH. Took it to the beach last year and read it cover to cover for the third time. Without a doubt Dave was the most interesting character in Van Halen.

I've got not problem with it at all and may actually look it up. He's been around the world and been around much longer than I have, so I may learn something. Bet there are some great reads.

Don't mean to start anything, but where are the Roth fans that always dig on Sammy for trying to make cash? When Roth's book is successful (hopefully for his sake) and he comes out with a line of salad dressing, you can't bag on Mr. Hagar anymore.

They both kick ass. Let 'em do what they want.

The first book was great, beyond being a fan of Dave's music, I really do enjoy his perspective on life and his philosophy on how to live. Its a fun and independent style. I think anyone who reads CFTH can pick up on that, and relate to it. I'll certainly be buying this book when it comes out. Can never get enough Dave!
