    Default Gene Simmons....Family Jewels..

I'm not a big Gene fan or Kiss, but the commercials on A&E look pretty funny.
Gonna have to check this show out tomorrow night....Saw a sneak preview and that guy doesn't even know how to drive...lol...

Interesting show. Who would have thought back in the early 70's that this guy playing bass in a band with average talent at best, wearing clown makeup, would build the empire that he has built. Should be lesson for all musicians out there. Keep working at it. I think it's pretty interesting to get a bit of a glimpse at how people like Simmons live. Granted its edited to portray whatever the producers want the show to portray. Even so, kind of cool.

I watched this last night. It was pretty funny to see how his son thinks he's out of his mind (well maybe he is but that's not the point), his kids don't seem to know anything about how big KISS was back in the day. Pretty clueless.

So Gene's trying to be involved as much as he can with his son's little band but they all think he's just an old man getting in the way. It was pretty funny.

    I may watch it again.

I heard one of the best one-liners in the world watching this show the other night. His son said, "Dad could sell whores in a vagina storm!" I laughed my ASS of at that...one of the best lines I've heard in awhile.

The son is the funny ones on that show. The vagina store comment was pretty funny. I also like at the end of one he and Gene are sitting on the couch and Gene is in his Kiss outfit. The son is asking the camera if anyone out there needs a son or something like that. The daughter, I have no clue as to why she's there-she seems like a dead space. The mom (her name slips me) is there for eye candy, obviously. And Gene, well, he's Gene.

I watched two shows last night....not bad.

it was fun seeing Gene trying to give advice to his son's band....and the bands all rolling their eyes like he is some meddling father....which he is....

one thought though.....and did anyone else feel this way?...

Did the show seem somewhat "rehearsed"?.....like alot of the stuff had been written for them and acted out?.....for some reason it just didn't have that "real" vibe...

absolutely! It seemed to be scenes set up with the family "improvising" their way through. It's still fairly entertaining. I found myself laughing out loud a couple of times, and I didn't expect that. It's now on my Tivo list..

Seems like the Gene Simmons version of "The Osbournes" to me.
