I appreciate this song. It's like a way better version of all those lame soft rock songs that cram the airwaves every year. This one, of course, has Eddie with a mean guitar solo and it doesn't suck. I won't say it's one of their better ballads, but Eddie is just so on his game, it doesn't matter how simple it is.

I don't really have a problem with the song. I take it for what it is. It could have been huge if it was marketed the right way...it's way better than "don't want to miss a thing" by aerosmith...I remember reading that ed and sam wrote that while they were touring for the RHRN CD so it always makes me smile...I know things were rough when they did balance and if this was written before the relationship soured than it means something to me...I think they tried some new things on the song and I liked it for what it was worth.

As much as I love Eddie's flashy solos, this one has a lot of feeling. I'd put it in his top ten for sure.

One of the few times Eddie's playing actually reminds me of his idol Eric Clapton.

Still, not a fan of VH doing the power ballad motif.

Wow, just saw my post from two years ago. Anyway, I still feel the same, but for those complaining about piped-in backing vocals, there is definitely something weird going on here too.
