Default Is 2007 the year for the Hall of Fame?

Not that it really matters all that much, but do you think that VH will finally be inducted into the R&R HoF in the next class, 2007?

I kind of think so. This is the time.

shouldn't this have happened in 2003? i don't know if it'll be the year, but this place is a joke in my mind, having not inducted them yet.

probably not...I think VH either asked not to be inducted in 2003 or the RRHoF asked them to appear and VH did not have a singer to do so with. Just my opinion.

i've always assumed, and i think most everybody around here has as well, that if VH were to appear at the RRHOF both Dave and Sam would be there. Probably do one song each -- Jump and Right Now or something like that.
I would be shocked if they were asked and didn't have a singer. Dave would've jumped at a one-off shot, and I'm sure Sam would've too. You really think at that point they were at a place where they refused to ask either one or both to show for the event??

I just think the people at the R&RHOF just haven't bothered to induct them yet.
Both Sam and Dave (and Gary for that matter) will be invited whenever it happens.

The HOF has a history of ignoring bands that should have gone in years before.

    Should they? Yes.
    Will they? No.

They never seem to get any props except from die hard fans.

    Another question regarding the HOF.
Has anyone heard Dave comment on the fact that they aren't yet inducted and U2 is? He doesn't seem like the type of guy to stay silent.

I'm sure Sammy is chomping at the bit to to get in.

Even though Ed has always been humble about his place in rock history as a guitarist, I'd bet he would be very disappointed if they never get in or it takes forever for it to happen.

Is there anybody more worthy of VH thats also not in?

VH has done more for rock and roll than Blondie or many others that have been enshrined.

They won't ever get in because of the following reasons.

    They are not politcal
    They don't have pasty skin
They know how to play their instruments
They are not a darling to Rolling Stone or the Viacom Corporation
They are not gay or expressed an interest to be gay
    They are all still living
They do not play the blues
    They are a little sexist.
They are considered hair metal or at least help spawn that rock in the 80's
They don't have the word "the" in front of their name.
Eddie inspired people to practice which in rock is never a good thing

    You said it.

    R&RHOF is a sham.

As for other ignored bands, the one aside from VH that should be in is Rush. Rush has been around for 30+ years and have a continuous history of platinum albums.

Maybe then Ray "fucking" Danniels is the one to blame then.

Maybe it would look like the MTV Video Awards in 96 when Roth joined them on stage to present, however, this time there would be two weirdo's on the accepting....
....the dynamic duo "DLR & EVH"
One noticeable difference between Judas Priest and Metallica...
...Judas Priest only has one gay guy in the band.

I've always thought they weren't put in because the band was in such a state of shambles that they RRHOF couldn't get them toghether to put on the show. The perfect time is now, and for both Sam and Dave to be there and each do a performance. If the response is good enough, hopefully it will lead to a double tour with both vocalists. If everybody involved can see it for what it is, the grandest way to go out before calling it quits, would be the best "Thank You" to the fans for being there through thick and thin. But then again I may be drunk so nevermind!
