Hear me out and give me a chance. Eddie has been my hero since I was in 8th grade, 26 years ago. His music has always spoke to me. This is what "Rise" says to me. A reflection of what my hero has gone through the last few years and how I would like for him to overcome. I'm hoping not be flamed.

well ive listened to it a couple of times now and tried to put the lyrics to the song (while im no singer) it seemed to flow pretty good...
anyone else have a chance to do this? i greatly encourage that you do so...

i would really wanna hear this being sung to the music....

great reflection on Eds past 12 odd years....

.need to redo it but the idea is there.

You know, not bad...its rough, but it sort of works. With lots of polish and less whining sustainer on the guitar this could be good!
Lyrics are better than some of Sam's stuff

I think the main Riff of Rise is catchy.

Hey fellow posters, thanks for the positive feedback on my lyrics! And thanks very much to Matt Wales for singing them and putting them down on the track! Very nice job!!!

It is pretty close to the way I want it to sound. Again, great job!! I have alot of friends who have been digging it the last day and a half and think that it is catchy and reflective of EVH's last few years.

Matt, can you PM me, I would like for you to put in the last chorus @ 2:39 and finish the song @ 3:07. Also, I have some other lyric options to consider.
