Little Guitar players,,,,,,,,,,where are you?

I had a tough time trying to figure out where to put this topic so I put it here and I'll let the mods place it in the proper place.

I little something that I was thinking about the other day waiting behind a school bus.
Anyone remember back in the early to mid 80's when it seemed like every other kid carried a guitar case with them to and from school?
I don't see it nearly as much now.
When I was a kid, most of the other kids wanted to be Eddie Van Halen or Angus Young.
Now its like all the kids want to do is play video games and watch TV.
I guess it has alot to do with the fact that aren't any REAL guitar gods or heroes that have come out in this generation.
Sure we have KWS and a handful of others, but not someone to emulate and that sets new boundaries and takes their playing to a new level.
Am I missing something here?

Hey man I'm 14 and I got a Wolfie Special!

I have only been playing for about a year, but I enjoy it. I play alot of Van Halen, along with many other bands like GNR, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Aerosmith. Eddie is my favorite guitarist. There is no one around that is any that can hold their own on guitar any more that is mainstream like VH was.

I may not be the best but, I'm gonna keep playing. I love it.

I took a risk and checked out your Babe pictures.
Good taste dude.
Nice shot of Britany with the Barbie doll.
I did feel like the Internet Police were about to burst through the door and arrest me for looking, but hey they are old enough (legal that is).
I also thought that you would have had a picture of youreself there and it would have turned out that you are one of the Hanson brothers.
