SAMMY DEBUT's at #46

Sammy's New CD Debuted at #46 on the billboard charts (SOURCE http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/salescht.cgi which tracks alblum sales from soundscan). It sold over 16,000 CD's, making it its highest debut of a CD since RED VOODOO (that includes better debuts than TEN 13 and NOT 4 SALE). IT was predicted by this CD tracking site to sell only 6,000. It beat it by nearly 300%!!! Thats awesome!!!

Good job SAM, the predictions for this alblum, according to the chart, were at 54,000 OTC, but it now seems to be headed toward 150,000 OTC, (better selling than the past 2 ablums again).

Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised! Considering he's not a mainstream artist and album sales across the board are down and the reviews seem mixed, he did good.

I'm sure all heavy promotion (tour, radio 'Cabo Hour', 'Late Late Show') he's done helped out. Congrats, Sammy...

good job Sam. The more I listen to it the more I like it. Sailin is a pretty cool tune and I've been blasting Rainy Day Women alot....seems like something VH coulda done with the big drums, change what sounds like horns to a guitar solo and the funky piano-kinda like Apolitical blues...it's a good disk.

I love the CD. It has grown on me. I love that Sammy is making a record that reflects where he is in his life. He's having a blast and finding a new side of himself.

I love Sam I Am; gritty rock jam.
I see myself sipping a cold drink on the beach with Livin on a Coastline.
I wanna, I wanna go to Mexico when I jive to this tune.
The Way We Live, is a nice nod to his fans.
I Love This Bar--I Love This Song.
One Sip--I've already surrendered to this fun-loving song.
I hate Bob Dylan so I don't like Rainy Day Woman.
Sailin is a great relaxer.
Sam took me there, with his remake of I'll Take You There.
I love the connection of Dad and son on Someday.

Overall, a B+.

I prefer the rocker to all the other songs, but this is a nice change of pace for Sam and for his fans. I'm hip to this trip.

It's also been doing relatively well in the iTunes music store over the past week. It's usually in the high 20's and low 30's on the top downloaded albums of the day

Glad to see Sam doing well with the new album. I know I really enjoy listening to it, especially right now, with the hot summer weather in full swing. It's also good to see that Sam just being Sam is what alot of people dig, I know I do!

I must admit this album is really starting to grow on me. It's a good beach/sailing or wishing I was at the beach or sailing CD. It's modest popularity is good. Very good.
