Digitech BP80 - For Bass Players & Recording Guitarists
I picked this baby up on Friday:
I got it for around $100 and spent the morning playing with it. It's got 80 pre-sets, all very cool. It also has a drum machine with a dozen or so patterns, which is really handy. It actually came with the power adapter, which it's guitar-playing cousin does not, and it's simple to use right out of the box.
I bought it to use with my little home-studio. The problem I've had is that I plug directly into the board and the gain on my pickups causes major distortion (the bad kind), so I have to turn the volume on my bass down to almost "3". This leaves me with crappy dynamics and a weak low end. I like a rich, fat bass tone and this box gives it to me in a bunch of flavors.
So, for a hundred buck, I'm a happy camper."Nothing is ever what it seems but everything is exactly what it is." - B. Banzai
