OK - if anyone has itunes you can get 7 mins of Eddie jamming at the House of Petals last week at the link below....hopefully someone can get it onto youtube too.

There's a mention of Eddie doing more show's and also doing a jam with Wolfgang in the podcast commentary.

here we go, Ed sounds sober to me. Ed Sound's Great but it just dosn't sound right without Mike and Al
He also said he has never done something like this and that he has never played with this band.

Also i don't know who the chick in the front row is but she is totally in love with Ed.

to get the video, go to your itunes music store. under podcasts, search for "event planner". the first option will be "event industry-planit podcast". the evh video is #2 on the list there.

Try downloading it and not just playing it. I had the same problem. Eddie sounds good when speaking and his playing was pretty sweet in some parts. He's not the best at jamming as we all know, but he held his own. All he needs is to drop the sustainer. A lot of out of tune whining until he finds the note. It'd be cool if he could perfect playing with it. You need to have damn good control and accuracy to get the pitch right all the time.

For those who haven't been able to view this video....let me sum it up.

Ed's amp looks cool.

Ed encourages those in attendance to "drink up"

While I am not sure if he's drunk or sober, you can tell something's up with his speech....I'm assuming from the surgery.

I too would like to take his sustainer and roll a steamroller right over it.

In the past, I'd watch Ed and say, "how does he do it".....now I just ask myself "why is he doing that"

I wish Ed was young and hungry again and took his music seriously.

It's indeed to see Ed up and around, playing guitar, but I might just put Respect the Wind on a continous loop tonight as I go to bed.....to remind me of when Ed was my hero.

I don't think Ed and that keyboard guy from MADONNA could -ever- get in sync. Just oil and water.

Once Ed started jamming with the drummer and ignoring that guy, it sounded a lot better (although the squealing sustainer stuff still was bad at some points). He got into some decent rhythm here and there. This is probabably because Ed jams mainly with Alex to generate new tunes, so he is using to working with percussion for improv stuff.

Ed didn't sound drunk at all though, so that much is good.

I can't say it was a good jam, however. But at least Ed warns everyone up front that they may screw up a lot.

Did you guys spot the finger-picked 'Pleasure Dome' lick?
He plays it an octave below, he also noodled this at the end of 'Rise'.
Do you think he could be expanding on this idea into a full song?
