    Default how’s this for dysfunctional

hey all... felt I had to give this story

i have not seen my dad for 10+years. last time I saw him he did not know who i was when we met. he thought i was my brothers social worker. when I explained who i was he said oh hi.

before that i never saw him. he divorced my mom when i was 5. never saw us. then blamed my and my brother for everything.

a year ago I hear he has a spot on his lung, from my brother. we never could confirm it.

the following month we got a letter he sent blaming us for everything (wow I was a guilty 5 yr old, didn't know I could break up a marriage).

when we tried to contact him, he unlisted his number and lied about his address.

so year later …yesterday I get a call from a lawyer.

hi is this MR. so so? I said yes...... i hate to tell you this. but your father dies of cancer. he died over 2 weeks ago. he was buried in Florida.

no funeral, no wake, was not notified at all.

had to hear it from a freaking lawyer.

never could call him or anything. couldn't say goodbye. no closure. but he got to have closure and blame me for his life.

    unbelievable
    DAVE vs SAMMY

People need to let this go.....it is like comparing an ex wife to your current wife...you can say how things would have be different if she were still here but she left you, so you moved on with your life.....

Same with Van Halen...would they have liked to have Roth stay, yes...but he decided to leave so they moved on.......

and the rest is history….. well until 1996……..lol

Dude! I'm sorry things went down like that. I've only seen my Dad a few times myself. My mother died back in 2001 and he were on outs and I'm just now coming to terms with that. Keep the faith. You'll be going through a lot of emotions and feelings, but if you've got friendly ears to listen, talking it out seems to help the best.

I'm so sorry, man. My situation about my father is pretty dysfunctional but not as dysfunctional as your situation. I don't speak to my father and felt (until about 10 years ago) guilty about my parent's divorce (I was 2). I just hope you can find some inner peace about the situation and soldier on.

I cherish the relationship I have with my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I live their lives through them and how I would have wanted my childhood to be and it has helped me tremendously. I couldn't be happier. I'm not saying for you to go out and have kids, just go be better than him.

He wanted you to suffer for his misery. Don't give him the satisfaction. You're better than that.

    Good luck.

excuse my language , but i wont even give it a second thought . your old man trying to blame his problems on you and your brother is pure b.s. when he wrote that letter you should have sent him a pack of smokes and told him to enjoy eternity in hell.........

You got that right. You gotta have a liscense to drive, get married, work, do most anything. Anybody w/ reproductive organs can reproduce.

I really hate it for you man. My wife & her mom have issues also, it sucks. Don't feel guilty for one second about anything from your childhood.

I'd send the lawyer a vile of urine and ask him to pour it on his grave... Fuck that shit...
