Although I'm not terribly excited about it, I'm sure I'll pick it up just to keep the collection up to date...

i listened to it on that live stream they had going on the record label sight. For christ sakes could he put a little more effort into it? Does anyone remember when he put out "marching to mars" that record was pretty good. Its obvious, that he had something to prove on that album, and put some thought into the songs. This new album is mostly garbage except for a couple of tunes.

Just so you don't think I'm just a sammy basher. Dave does the same shit. He had 2 maybe 3 great solo albums, then everything else was junk.

Sammy's voice is too good to be wasting away. I think we as fans need to bring up a lawsuit against, Ed, Al, Mikey, Dave, Sammy. There must be something we can get them on...Some type of Silent harrasment or something. Lack of quality of musicianship or something. Any thoughts.

I think you're dead on, Do. After two lackluster performances by Sam and his Wabo's, I just can't put out money for this release. I loved MTM, and Red13 was kick ass I thought. But I'm not buying his latest stuff, I just can't do it.

Same thing for DLR. ALL these guys need a kick in the ass.

    You mean Ten13, Sucka?

Agreed, although I dug Not 4 Sale as well (could've really done without "Whole Lotta Zep," though) I really can't buy this album. I'm 14. I'm too young to have a job, so I don't have much money. Why on earth would I want to waste the little money I have on this album?

If Sammy wants people to take him seriously, especially with all the public Ed bashing he does, this won't help. It was a really weak effort on his part. "Sam I Am" and "Let Me Take You There" are, IMO, so out of place on this record. sure, SIA is a country tune, but it's not the whole "On the Beach" thing Hagar's trying to do with this record. The two songs I mentioned, along with "Mexico" (starting to enjoy the studio one more now) are really the only three tunes worth listening to. Everything else is complete shit.

Marching to Mars happens to be my alltime favorite Hagar album. He put a TON of effort into that (probably more than any other solo album, of course that's probably just me) and as you can tell, the effort slowly started to go away with every release (well, Ten13 had a lot into it as well). Fans like myself want to see another kickass rock-n-roll album, not this Jimmy Buffet-like shit. Or even another MTM would work!

Jesus, Sammy. You can do better than that...

I was let down by this one too. N4S at least had a little bit of teeth. This one is all bark and no bite.

I'm buyin' it. I gotta keep the streak going!

I'll admit, I'm not terribly excited about it... "Rainy Day Women" & "Let Me Take...", I just don't dig those tunes. But Sammy was in a different frame of mind when he put this record together vs. 'Not 4 Sale'. (which is a GREAT, yet underrated rock album).

Let him get the Jimmy Buffet-style mellow stuff out his his system before he returns to Van Halen in 2007.

I agree about Marching To Mars, it's a great album. Maybe a pissed Hagar, is better than a happy one.

I'm buying it for one song. Someday. Theres a boot running around from the Balance tour where he debuted it and looks like he finally pulled it out and dusted it off. the preview on CDnow of it sounded pretty good.

It's not the same song, though. Lyrics are entirely different and so is the flow of the song.
