I wonder what kind of amp that is, and I thought he was going back to basics gear wise.

EDDIE's the coolest!

Even though his shoes have holes he looks cool, they must be really comfortable.
Cool amp too, let's hope it's a new one and not just a peavey with a new look.
And the Wah pedal must be something new by Dunlop.

Is it me, or does it feel like we will hear new music soon?

EVH still doesn't look good IMO. I know part of it is the cancer treatment side effects, etc. but have some pride man. Cut your hair (Balance era), and buy some new shoes (the pants still look cool though), he looks like a vagrant.

However, it is nice to see him out and about and smiling.

Looks like he took that big eye bolt out of his guitar too. I guess he didn't have much room to walk around and trip over it. (the cable)

Maybe his pants and boots look like that because he bought some of that colon-cleansing stuff and it actually worked.

Seriously, this is cool. If he's going the Jeff Beck route I'm going to be stoked, anytime Ed goes exploring new vistas on his guitar everyone here on the guitar board wins. If the band get's back together, fine, until then I'm doing my happy-dance just for the thought of Ed going it alone.

Any day that Eddie Van Halen is playing guitar in front of people is a great day.
