Cabo #1 Spring Break Destination. (according to the travel channel)

Sunday night I was watching the travel channels top ten list of best spring break destinations and Cabo San Lucas was picked number 1.

About half of the "Cabo segment" was devoted to Cabo Wabo and featured comments from Sammy. I never realized just how big of a spring break place Cabo was. You feature a question mark in the final sentence as if what preceeded it is somehow related.

Unless Eddie has suddenly become a teenager and needs to blow off some steam from his exams come spring break time, I don't really follow the logic!

So why would Eddie have to become a teenager again to play in front of a crowd? Sammy is older than he is and the audience loves him. If its a rock concert at spring break, the kids will show up. No matter if it were the Stones, The Who, Weezer, Pearl Jam, or Eddie Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. It is just another party and age has nothing to do with it.
I'm sure Billy Joel would get a big crowd if he played at Cabo as well.
To say that Eddie would have to turn back the clock to play in front of an audience is ridiculous. His name alone still stands out there as one of if not the greatest guitar players of all time. My 15 year old son, (though he isn't really into VH and prefers Linkin' Park and such) knows just how great of a guitar player Eddie is and how great Alex is as well for that matter. He knows that nobody out there today could even carry Ed's guitar strap.

So yes, if Eddie ever did show up at Cabo and jammed with Sammy, it would be fucking huge news down there and Cabo would fill up like a prostitute at a gang bang.

And don't forget about the press it would gather as well. Positive press would be perfect for this band right now don't ya think?

Will it happen? I would doubt it. But the possiblity does exhist. I guess we'll see just who Sammy's "special guests" are when he appears on ROCKLINE a week before Cabo.
