5150 II buzz
I am looking at buying a 5150 II half stack for $999.00 The problem is when I cranked the pre-gain on the lead channel I hear a substantial buzz. I tried several different guitars, Is something wrong with the amp or it this normal?

Get used to it, the 5150 is a buzzy, loud amp.

The NS2 is a great pedal, but the Smartgate has much more sensitivity control; so it doesn't suck out as much of your tone. Not to be argumentative, but I sometimes I can't control my inner gear-head...

they re all good pedals imo.
but the NS-2 can power other pedals and has an effects loop.
id use the mxr as well as the boss.
i play my 5150 at about post 5 so the gate releases pretty fast lol.
now feedback can be a problem at those volumes , not gonna lie , i usually play next to my cabinet instead in front of it.
the mxr looks to be just as good as the boss.www.rickshick.tumblr.com
