Default "Spanked," VS "Up For Breakfast" -- Which One is Worse?

Simple, which Van Hagar song sucks more, that piece of shit "Spanked," or that piece of shit "Up For Breakfast"?

I actually dug F.U.C.K., thought it was the best Van Hagar cd of the bunch....
The only time in Van Hagar that you actually get to hear Mike Anthony's playing....
most of the time the Brothers have him too far down in the mix to be heard....
    egos are hell sometimes.....

Those three tunes on the recent 'best of' sound rushed and disjointed....
They needed a little more focus, and more time spent on the lyrics....
Actually they need the Diamond One doing the lyrics and vocals...
but THAT is another thread or five...

After a long deliberation from me, I decided upon Spanked. Way too simple for Van Halen, and very cheesey too. Up For Breakfast is just about equal lyrically, but damn, you may disagree, but the tune smokes musically!
In and out. I didn't even make that pun on purpose.

I agree If there were no vocals, Up for Breakfast would be great. Spanked sucks all the way.

Aww man I checked off the wrong one!!! I meant to check off UFB not Spanked!!!!!!

Hey it's the end of a long day so lay off!

    Can I change my vote?

I dig the tuneage of UFB, it's the lyrics that suck. Same with Spanked but at least I can tolerate the singing too. That was the first song that stuck when I first heard the FUCK album. I love Edward's work at the beginning and his solo. Extra kewl tuneage.

    They BOTH rock!

The music in both tracks is great and the lyrics are no better/worse than those of Poundcake IMO.

Yeah what is it about food? Anyways, I agree w/the Poundcake comment. I didn't care for those lyrics either, but it's all about Edward to me anyways.

'Up For Breakfast' for me. Great piece of music ruined by Hagar's lyrics IMO.

    'Spanked' I can tolerate.
Bobby Cohn: Who's going to be at Waynestock?
Wayne Campbell: Um, uh...Aerosmith & Pearl Jam!
Garth Algar: Ha ha ha ha ho!
    Bobby: Who else?
    Garth: Uh, me...and...and Wayne...
    Wayne: ...and uh...VAN HALEN!!!
Garth: Wow. Van Halen. Who else?
    Bobby: Yeah, who else?
Wayne: Uh, an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log?

I'm surprised there are some that have never heard these tunes before.

Still wanna change my vote tho. I'm down with UFB as worse than Spanked any day.

Rovus, I like the way you think.

I'm not a big fan of most of Sammy's lyrics.....but Spanked truly makes me cringe!

Why do we always find things to bitch about?
I like both songs, but dig the riff on spanked. Forget the lyrics...the music is cool.

    Good question.

With all the great music VH has given us, I guess we can't find anything positive to talk about huh.

I hope everyone knows that the "They both ROCK" option was a joke. I really hope no one answered that seriously as they are easily two of the worst songs to ever be released on CD with the Van Halen name. Wait, don't and try and convince me otherwise because you're wrong and I'm right, thanks.
