Was it the drugs that killed him? I always wondered if he kept doing the drugs through out his life. 60 years old is still pretty young.....

I don't think he died from drugs. Last I read he hasn't been doing drugs for quite sometime. I was just commenting on how the use of drugs indeed ended his musical gifts.
Anybody got a link that gives the cause of death?

Musically, not my cup of tea, but another great example of drugs destroying a persons mind. Diabetes is a bitch as well. RIP Syd.It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of Roger "Syd" Barrett, founder of Pink Floyd. The Syd Barrett Archives join his family and friends in mourning his passing. He was an inspiration to many people, myself included. Shine on Roger... Shine on...
He passed on Friday July 7th of complications related to diabetes.
