Just got my promo copy of Livin' It Up
Good stuff. Pretty even disc I think. Loving Mexico and One Sip. Would like to have heard some rockers here though.

I heard the album preview party. (Link listed somewhere on this site....) It's ok. It's always taken me a while to adapt to a new VH or Sammy album. Not sure why. I'll just say this- Sammy ain't Jimmy Buffett.
I've cut the rest of my comments, because I hope this is simply an album Sammy had to get out of his system and move on. I don't think this will be a big seller, but then again, what do I know. Maybe some more listens will give me a more positive view of it. Time will tell.Last edited by Railrunner130; 07.19.06 at 06:22 AM.

I think if it's promoted right (maybe CMT and such) it could actually be one of his best sellers since he left VH. But, it would need really promoted. It'll have to find a target audience; which won't really be rockers.
I'll still get it though!

Should get my copy in the mail this week. Can't wait!
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth
