To be fair on Zidane, he was instrumental in every one of France's wins in the knockout stages, especially against the former World Cup holders, Brazil. Not to mention him being at the pivotal of France first World Cup win in 1998. If it wasn't for Zidane it's fair to say that France would never have made the final. His brainsnap was unfortunate for both the team and his exit from a great career. It probably wouldn't have made much difference even if he wasn't sent off, Italy most likely would've still won on penalties. Originally Posted by SactoFan
