Yeah for his stuff away from Extreme "Paint The Town Red" is probably his best song out of all that stuff along with the whole "Schizophonic" album. There is just so many good songs to come out of all that stuff it's hard to pick whats best or not. I personally love "All Automatic" it's right up there with "Paint The Town Red".

This is definitely one of his best though from his solo era:

Sky, love that song and we all can relate.

Love True Love In The Galaxy as well and the solo is amazing:

All Automatic though rocks, love the album version better than the remix:

The song that got me hooked on Extreme. Heard More Than Words and Get The Funk Out before but this one made me go buy the CD. Pornograffitti. Love this track, I think the song is about censorship of adult material but also how society as a whole markets everything with sexuality and it's plastered everywhere. It's a money making machine that never ends. Sex is everywhere and shoved in our faces everyday I think is the message of the song. Clever lyrics and love Nuno's guitar playing on this and Gary's vocals:

This was my first exposure to Extreme. The music begins at the 49 second mark ...

I immediately went out and bought their debut album and played it a ton.

Cool. For me it was actually Get The Funk Out and I liked it but it didn't get me to buy the CD right away. It was the title track off that album that did it Pornograffitti. I than bought their debut album and loved it.

Play With Me is definitely classic Extreme and yes I love that mall scene in that movie it's fun. I got the soundtrack for that movie pretty cheap on CD and to my surprise it sounds like a different mix than their album version.

I wonder if people know though the song is about raising children and all that goes with it. It's also in the movie Jury Duty when Pauly Shore plays a stripper at the start for me knowing what the song is about that scene is fucking odd as hell.

C’mon, people don’t actually listen to the lyrics, otherwise we’d never hear “Born In The U.S.A.” At another patriotic event…

That's just dumb American politicians. True Rock fans memorize the lyrics word for word of their favorite songs.

So, who do you think's gonna be President by the time we get the new Extreme album?
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"A lot of bands mature, which means they get square; they start delivering messages. Hey, you got a message, use Western Union." -DLR

Joe Biden/Kamala. I know they are dragging their feet but I think we will get something.

I had two exposures to Extreme. I went to see Bil and Ted and thought Play with Me was cool. I liked it but had no idea who it was. A few months or so later I was in friends car listing to Z Rock which catered to hair metal and metal bands. Heard the intro to Mutha Don't Want to go to School today and loved it. They said the band was Extreme and I bought it the next day. Only one of my friends liked the band but when Porno came out, they all loved it.

True on the first, not true about the second. I memorize the instruments playing, mainly guitar, of the song. Many songs I couldn't tell you what the lyrics are, could never sing and play guitar. For those that can...

Mutha is one of Extreme's most Van Halen sounding songs along with Teacher's Pet. Their debut album definitely had a heavy Queen meets Van Halen influence written all over it. They came into their own though with Pornograffitti. Their debut album though is pretty amazing and fun to listen to. The band wasn't being serious on it except for tracks like Watching, Waiting (crucifixion of christ) and Rock A Bye Bye (abortion) which leads into Nuno's awesome Gates Of Heaven solo gives me goose bumps everytime I hear it both sad and beautiful sounding.

Yep, I remember it now. Makes sense to because the solo starts off with a baby crying. Love that intro solo I wish Extreme would play that live more.

There is a character from Pornograffitti Francis and they have that VOTE t-shirt and poster with Francis on it. I think the song is about that kid dreaming of becoming president. I am actually quite surprised no presidential candidate has ever tried to use that song at a rally. It kicks ass.
