From Blabbermouth

Former VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth will be appearing on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on Thursday, July 13, 2006. The performance will be in support of the VAN HALEN tribute album, "Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen". Dave will be performing "Jamie's Cryin'" with his bluegrass friends.

Released in early June, "Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen" is a collection of VAN HALEN songs done in bluegrass style. The CD features Roth alongside the JOHN JORGENSON BLUEGRASS BAND on twangy renditions of "Jump" and "Jamie's Cryin'", as well as a special radio edit of the latter.

In the liner notes, the Indiana-born Roth explains that "my roots were always kind of country — not the same country as my first band. Their flag had windmills. Mine had BBQ pit and a shot glass."
