Request: Classic VH with Sammy on lead

Hey all. I'm not a frequent poster so I hope posting in this forum is ok protocol.

I'm looking for video/audio of Sammy doing classic VH era songs. I'm not interested in the basics such as Jump/Panama/YRGM, etc....I'm looking for more obscure songs from the 5150 or OU812 tours. I do distinctly recall during the 1988 OU812 tour that Sammy sang Runnin with the Devil. I would love to hear this in some form. If nothing else, can somebody name the Dave era songs Sammy has performed at some point?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you all

Just a FYI....Go down a few forums below to the "JAM TO THIS" link. It will take you to a site where you can download AUDIO & VIDEO from VH, DLR & Sam from all eras. www.jamtothis.com

Another FYI, Steecoe just put up a recording of Sammy's solo show from 7/8/06 in Detroit/Clarkston. They played RWD, Good Enough & Summer Nights.

It is such a shame that with the history of the band they only played those small amount of songs in Hagars 10 years with the band.

If I remember correctly, I believe he said those CVH tunes weren't him. I love Sam, but I always thought that was pretty lame. Still do.

Yeah I heard of that also but just had a difficult time believing it. Hagar joined VH so I felt he should have played those old tunes. Not stirring crap but that was my opinion back then.
Hagar is a cool cat. It took me a long time to realize that but he is what he is and you have to respect him for that.

Totally how I feel. I'm one of those Davers that has a tremendous amount of respect, and tolerance for that matter, for the Red Rocker. There aren't many of us around at this site, but we're here. I love Sam, but I just don't see how he could turn his back on all of the great material from the Dave years.

I totally agree. There is such a huge catalog that was ignored during those years. At least we got Gary on one tour blasting out some old tunes that hadn't been played in years! I can't tell you how crazy I went when they tore in to Romeo Delight. The hair on my arms and the back of my head stood up. At least he was willing to go with the whole catalog!

We are all on this forum because of Van Halen. Period.

    I agree with you 100%.

To hear Gary open the show with Unchained and play Mean Street, Romeo and Jamies Cryin was awesome.
He played so many awesome songs that were neglected...

Gary singing those songs made up for him prancing like George Michael on Ectasy.
