Question about Dave at Casino Morongo

I'll be flying into LA on Sun to go to an off site mtg in Palm Springs on Mon and Tues. Depending on when I land on Sun, I may be able to see Dave. I was looking at tickets on Ticketbastard and there were two price levels. One was $50 for general admission and another was $75 for access to the upper levels. Is it worth it to get the upper level ticket? Is Dave even worth $50 - let alone $75? I've yet to see him live and want an idea of what to expect. BTW, what's up with the two drink min. @ $6 a pop? I really want to get down there in time to see him. Anybody's help is appreciated.

Dude, it's almost a certainty I'll be there....I'm working on arranging that weekend as we speak. The 75, it's an extra 25 just for a wristband that lets you access the balconies above. It's all GA, so the 50 is fine if you wanna get up close stageside, unless you want an elevated loge-like perch, in which case get the 75 upgrade. While I've been to Morongo more than once, I have no idea what the Key Club venue is like and whether it's worth having all access to upper levels...I assume it's like a House of Blues setup, but who knows. JMJ could probably shed more light, I think he's been there.

In any case, hope to see ya and have a shot, if I can work it out. His setlist is pretty standard so far on this tour, all the anthems. I'm pretty much looking forward to Hot for Teacher, Everybody Wants Some, and Ice Cream Man. The rest of it is, IMO, the usual suspects, unfortunately.

Well, I was able to convince my travel and events dept. to get me an earlier flight today so I should be there...I think I'll spring for the $50 price though. I was talking to a friend who saw a few 311 shows there and she was telling me that they were charging approx. $300 to get up there ( it was being used as a VIP area). I don't think that's the case here this time though. She said there were a bunch of couches and stuff. In any event, I hope to be watchin' the Diamond one here pretty soon as this is going to be the first time I've seen him live in concert. If we're both there VS, then shots are definately in order!

it's not worth it imo

downstairs is fine and the stage is elevated. u won't have a problem seeing at all. bars on either side of you.

i'm staying downstairs.

Alas, more pressing issues came up this week that prevented me from attending tonight's show. Hopefully Onefoot and JMJ, and Scum, will be toasting a few in a couple hours.
