The next hurricane to hit Florida

I hope it's a doozy. My ex-girlfriend just moved there. I hope there are power outages for months. I hope there are floods. I hope the food chain is cut off. The whole nine yards.

You have a bit of a contradiction there, because what that would do for the most part is make everyone else around her miserable. It would be like the hurricane hitting everyone but her.

Yeah it ain't no joke......I took a direct hit from Hurricane Katrina living in Long Beach MS at the time. It Changed my life......caused me to move to another place, and I am very close to having to find another form of work. I still haven't recovered. You just don't understand until it happens to you.

But the SHOW MUST GO ON!!!!!!

Perhaps you should move to Florida in the house next door. With the affect you had here on some of the other Linkers, you're bound to make her miserable as well, with no hurricanes. So you'll still have power to play your VH!

No, it isn't. Even people that have more than adequate insurance are still entering this hurricane season with blue tarps on their roofs. That being said, next on the list comes the thousands and thousands of folk who have been displaced because they lost their fucking homes to begin with, the thousands who have lost businesses that they owned or worked at, the mobile home parks that have been closed and the occupants evicted because developers rapidly bought up the land offering ridiculous amounts of money to the park owners, then turning the property into not affordable housing but high-end condos.

Seen it first-hand, had to help out too many friends and family personally, some with money, some with helping them repair their property, giving some a place to stay until they could get back on their feet.

And you think this is funny. Fine. Just remember, Karma's a bitch.

Add to the fact that insurance company's have been asking and getting permission to raise rates 80-90% above the current rates here in FL this year. Yeppers. Survial of the fittest. These storms don't just flatten the homes of folks that live on the coast line, they flatten the homes of folks that live in the center of the states as well. I live 100 miles in land. We had 3 of them cross over the top of where we live 2 years ago. One was still at cat 3, 2 were still a cat 2. Those are some strong winds that knocked out power for days, knocked out people's homes and flooded lakes, and rivers causing people to lose their homes from flooding. Hurricane insurance doesn't cover flooding even if it is caused by a hurricane and you can't get flood insurance. So the damage those people had is a total loss for them. You have no idea what you are poking fun at. You aren't funny.
