IF YOU WERE E.V.H WHAT WOULD YOU DO NOW?

Many people here have witnessed what has happened over the past 3 decades of this man's life. Many have commented on where Ed has gone wrong. At this point, if you were this living legend, what choices would you make to get your life back on track?

(I'll go first)

1. stop drinking and hire monitors to keep me dry and strong.

2. convince Val that I'm done with the bottle.

3. apologize to anyone that I affected in a negative light with my drinking (Mike, Dave, Al, Sam, Peavey )

4. decide if I still want to tour and if not, call Dave and Sam for final tour. New Tour, new double cd with both singers. Go out in style.

5. thank my fans for sticking with me all these years.

6. put out a box set of everything unreleased.

7. get healthy for myself and no one else

8. spend more time awake during the day instead of sleeping all day awake at night

9. spend as much time as possible with my living legacy, wolfgang.

10. give guitar lessons and make $$$$$.......like Bruce Lee who was giving martial arts lessons just before his movie career took off. Make a few videos of lessons and do seminars for charvel or his own line of E.V.H musical gear.

I REALLY like the double CD idea. I think Sammy would, but Dave wouldn't (too proud).

Just take a long car ride (sober), reflect on his life and career.
Come to fully realize just where his stature and legacy really is in music lor.
Check into a rehab for 3 months. Be back home for the holidays, spend it with his son and what he has left of family ie: Alex. On Christmas afternoon get Mike and either Dave or Sammy on conference call tell them the situation and set up a meet at 5150 in the coming days, jam and just hang out. Go golfing together, take a trip together and just be friends once again.
Then its time to get back to business, release that long awaited boxed set with some previously unreleased material and do an incredible summer of 2007 tour that will be followed up by a brand new full length album and tour in 2008.

off to a good start since i showered and brushed my teeth yesterday, lots of free time today.
Realize this isn't my house.

Realize that in fact this is my house, have a quick cocktail to calm the panic.

I would make a list of every person that has milked off me, mooched off me, ridden my coat-tails, made me compromise, egged me on to be a party animal and then trashed me for being a drunk, pushed me to succeed commercially but then called me a money grubbing greedy guitar shilling sell out, and anyone else I can think of that has in some way pissed me off.

Then, one by one, I track them down and tell them to go fuck themselves.

After that, I'm sure I'd be feeling much better about myself and life in general. So...I grab Alex (unless he ended up on my list) and we go jam for a bit....maybe grab a pizza...and go from there.
