Anyone Else missing Jesse Harms/Keyboards
I went to the Mohegan Sun show on July 5, and you can read my review in that thread, but I'm wondering if anyone else has missed Jesse Harms, or at least a keyboard player, as I much as I did.
Clearly the set list was geared towards keyboard-less songs, but the keys were noticably missing from l Fall In Love Again and Why Can't This Be Love. I'm sure they could have been tactifully used elsewhere, and I can only imagine what When It's Love sounds like without the keys, but due to an abreviated show, The Other Half didn't play it at the show I went to.
I'm not going to say the percussionist was useless, because I could actually hear some of the stuff he was doing in the mix, but he looked more like "Spend a Summer Touring With Sammy Hagar" contest winner than an actual integral part of the show.
Does anyone else feel the same?

I haven't seen a show from this tour, but I felt Jesse was sorely missing from last tour too. Plus he was the only singer singing back up that could hit a note (Mikey wasn't there)...Mona is awful.

To be honest, I don't miss him that much at all. Yes, the keys are missing in some songs plus his background vocals but I liked the songs without them.
Props to Vic for his voice. I didn't know he sang that well but did great on his spot in 'Heavy Metal'.Remember the Heroes - 9/11/01

I was very dissapointed when I found that there weren't any keys. None of the songs sounded right.
I'm cool.

Right Now was "thin" to me. I heard Mikey's bass more than anything. My wife hated the arrangement, I had mixed feelings. To me it sounded very mellow and like something you would like to have on CD and listen to it from time to time. I prefer the harder hitting version live.
Other than that, I didn't miss keyboards. I also like Vic's touch on the songs...he adds his on flavor..very cool. I didn't care for Humans Being...really, really missed Eddie on that one.

Some of the replys have stated that Vic has held his own. I agree. I did not intend to infer that the omission of keyboards was a reflection on Vic. I just feel that "full" sound, or as one poster put it, the "arrangement" of the songs is not what I would have liked.
They did not play Right Now at the casino show at Mohegan Sun, so I can not comment. But again, that gets me into my rant about the short set at the casino.
