I did a search, I didn't see a Simpsons Cartoon thread. This has to be one of the best cartoons of the 90's. I think the writing has sucked in recent years, but in its infancy, this had to be the funniest show. What are your classic moments?
The faces always made me laugh. Krusty's on-air heart attack had me laughing forever. There are so many great lines.

One of the greatest shows ever, I love the one when Cartman has that satelite up his ass and then it pops out...what? Doh!!!

A great show for sure which has sucked here lately (i.e. the past 5-8 years, I hardly ever watch it anymore). Most of the lines I recall were from the Halloween specials:

The Shining: "So what do you think Marge? All it needs is a title. I was thinkig along the lines of no beer and no TV make Homer something something."
"Go crazy?"
"Don't mind if I do!!"

Another Homer line: "I want everyone to know this is Ned Flanders, my friend."
"What did he say?"
"I don't know, something about being gay."

The Dracula episode where Homer stakes Burns in the crotch instead of the heart to kill him. Stupid Flanders!! Homer rules

well they're doing 2 a years for the past 3 years i think (including this year but they havent released any yet....but they're coming)

i like it the way it is because they always release one right before my birthday and one right before christmas. so i never have to buy them myself.

well i think it's unfair to say the writing sucks. it's more like it's inconsistent. they still put out some good episodes. but they also put out some real bombs. but.....but i can't complain. i'd rather have some good episodes than no episodes at all. hopefully the movie next year will be gold.

I forgot about these Homer lines: he was singing the Flinstones song and ended it with: "He's about to hit a chestnut tree. WWWAAAHHHH!!!"

Then there was the time he was talking to Lisa and telling her to ball up her anger and shove it down inside and release it an appropriate time. Homer's time: "Remember when Daddy threw the whiskey bottle at the referee?" And of course when he was taking out the garbage: "Stupid garbage, hate world, revenge soon, AAAAHHHHH, garbage water, OHHHHHH!!!!"

Yeah, I'm the same. I've stayed off new The Simpsons episodes for a good 5 years now but ocassionally will catch an episode and say this one is new to me and then will check out the copyright year at the end.

The Simpsons, to this day, is my favorite show on television. Some seasons were lacking but even those get some good belly laughs out of me. I dont' know why but one of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life is when the comic book guy say:

"This is a rare photograph of Sean Connery autographed by Roger Moore."

How could I forget this one? Its like one of my all time favorites: here's the scene, Homer gets accepted to college, I think, so he decides he doesn't need his H.S. dipolma anymore. He sets it on fire, and his house in the process, and proceeds to state:

"I am so smart. I am so smart. S-M-R-T, I mean, S-M-A-R-T."

there was one where the oddesy was done, and ned said something about trojans.... funny....

love the show, i always miss the repeats, cuz i am at work at that time...and when the newer ones come on, i miss tham!
