Default Best Buy offers a $99 Fender "Starcaster"?

Dunno if anyone else saw the ad over the weekend, yet Best Buy has a Fender guitar called a "Starcaster" for 99 bucks. I'm of the impression that this thing is basically a Squier type guitar, yet the pick-up configuration looked interesting for such a cheapy. In the bridge section, what looks like a double pick-up is in use.

What initially caught my eye (bear in mind it was 7 a.m. Sunday morning, not my most receptive time for being astute ) was the "Starcaster" name, which I found to be a tad misleading as it way too close to "Stratocaster".

Most Squier models tend to have the unfortunate "baseball-bat" neck, which always requires much sanding. Yet as I get older, I do like the lighter weight of these guitars.

Anyone of an opinion on this thing? (I'm at the library, so sadly I can't post a link or pic. Sorry.)

I'm still curious as to if anyone has played one.
