Default Line 6 Spider II vs. VOX AD30VT

I'm currently playing the VOX but have been having reliability issues. Believe it or not I'm on my third one in a year and a half. The input jack has broken apart on all three. Luckily under warranty. I only play at home and am looking for something that is flexible, and has great tone at low volumes. I tried out the Line 6 @ Guitar Center and it seemed OK. Any other suggestions?

I've got a Line 6 Spider (I) with one 12. It's pretty versitile and sounds decent for home use. Sounds like crap with my Digitech GNX3 though. Not transparent enough. I'd go for the 2- 10's for the stereo sound if I had the choice.

I've been using a Behringer V-Ampire and V-Amp Pro for years now and its really pretty nice. It takes a little programming of the models to get them tweaked just right (trust your ears with the V-Amp, don't trust the names & presets they give you). All I do for physical maintenance is replace the battery once every 2-3 years. I know a lot of people hate the Behringer equipment for one reason or another, but I need to say that their Modern High Gain sound is really quite nice. Their Fender models leave something to be desired but Line 6 has those nailed down (pretty much).

Eh, the Spider II: I had one that I sent back because it was NOT possible to get it to cooperate with other external effects. For the particular sounds it's programmed with, it sounds great, but if you want some flexibility, the Spider II is not the best choice. I replaced it with a small-venue rig consisting of a Digitech GNX1 and a Peavey Studio Pro, and all is well.

I run a GNX2 through a Fender Blues Jr., for backup/practice, and it sounds great; plus you get some real tube warmth. Just a suggestion...

Line 6 Spiders suck bad! I just bought a Peavey XXL 212 combo off Ebay and hopefully it will be here Monday. I've heard great things about these and I've been needing a good solid state to practice with at low-mid volumes. Anyone ever play one of these before?
