they played "Finish what ya started" in 2004?
I saw footage of them in Mass, in 2004 on youtube. They didn't play this when I saw them...

It is interesting to see if there is any tension at that time...Ed definitely imitates Sammy and Sammy couldnt have thought that was funny...Then Ed kisses Sammy and wipes his mouth.......

Always one of my favorites live. It's my favorite tune off of RHRN.
Cool to see Sammy playing guitar alongside Ed.

OMG.... no chills for me. What a TERRIBLE version. The end was ok where Ed was rippin a little... but damn... He was wayyyyyyyyy off for most of that one.
I am glad Ed had an ON day in Cleveland.
RHRN has a wayyy better version of that. This was mostly just sad.. Ed's guitar sound is really bad on this tour.Lets just throw a pound of weed in the fire place, f@#% it!

I know Ed played awful on that tour but, this vid shows he can still get off. Forget the obvious flaws in a one off performance (at least on this particular tour). The Willie Nelsonesque playing with the structure, the tone, the fact that Sam fucked up the ending (as was apparent by the fact that Mike and Ed and Al ended at the same time and Sammy buried his head in disbelief that HE screwed the pooch) was awesome! No bashing I like Sammy. Just thought that was funny.

The most surprising omission from the usual set list in 2004.
Hell of a lot better than the other song they performed off that album.

if you think Ed got off on that version, then go find yourselves a bootleg from 1977 and you'll think differently

Complaints, complaints, complaints...
Maybe some would have been happier if they hadn't toured at all, so they would not have to listen to this "monstrousity".
In my opinion, it was all good!!!

Very cool.
Ed was a little lost around the 4 minute mark....where typically his smokin' solo would come in, but I thought overally it was fun....not the best rendition.
I did find it odd to see everyone stay in one place for a tune..........that tour consisted of 3 guys going 3 different directions most of the time.
THANKS FOR THE LINK!!!!!!!!!Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett
