Looks like Mike's having funand Sammy gets in another shot at Ed!

Your probably right. I didn't get to see the '04 show. I'd just like for all of them to play music (together or seperate) and shut up.
As Sam says "What is understood doesn't need to be discussed""Your right little girl. If women ruled the world there wouldn't be any more war; all the countries would just nag each other to death"

I just saw the Columbus show last night, and I have to say that Sammy's assessment that The Other Half sounds closer to Van Halen than the 2004 tour did is pretty far from the truth. Given, Sammy and Mike sounded fantastic-Mikey even altered his normally bland solo section-I'll still take Ed on his worst night than Vic on his best night , at least when it comes to playing VH tunes. I love Vic as a player, and understand he takes a lot of scrutiny for the sheer fact that he is playing the role of the world's best guitar player in a glorified cover band, but I think that he should have given the songs a little more justice. I mean he didn't even attempt a solo on 5150-maybe not play the same one as Ed, but throw one out there. Otherwise, the show was fantastic, with the exception of the I Love This Bar cover-almost made me want to throw up. Great to see Mike, Sammy, and VH fans having a good time.

I'm sorry for you people that are offended by what Sammy has to say. I'm not saying that Sammy's perfect but from everything that I've read in tons of articles (some of which don't even mention Sammy's name), Eddie sounds like he needs rehab in the worst way!

Achievements:
Ed's playing , for the shows i saw, was average at times, brilliant at others and just plain bad on some. The 'bad' playing i refer to is when the notes and chords he played were incoherent, nonmelodic and unrelated to any song or structure he's ever done..in other words, just mistakes.
The avg playing was on some of the tunes where he was goofing off, which is completely fine with me, and the brilliant came from lots of the CVH tunes and some huge sam era tunes, but mostly on some solo spots. When i saw him at Borgata and he went off on a blues riff solo at the start of his solo section, i had goosebumps.
Would love to hear some of that!

Eddie changed some parts of "Humans Being" in 2004, and it sounded great in my opinion. It wasn't exactly like the recorded version, and I was pleasantly surprised.
