    Default My sad VH story

Hello all. Just found this site. Hope to get here often.

Anyway I've seen alot of posts on a new tour with Dave or getting back with Sam. Hell I dont care. I've been a VH fan all my life. Eddie was the reason I picked up a guitar (lack of talent is the reason I suck). When I was a kid VH never came close to my end of Virginia. When I got married I couldn't afford to go. I didn't find out about the '04 tour until Greensboro was over. I bought tickets to Charlotte and that was the only show cancelled on the whole damn tour! Hell, I'd even take a reunion with Cherone if Ed's healthy and playing good.

Anyone think Ed could talk Chris Cornell away from Audioslave. Now to me that would be a hell of a combination!

Welcome! You'll get addicted to this place.
While I would rather see a reunion with Roth or Sammy, at this point I just want to hear Ed play. Heck, I'd sit through an entire Kenny Chensney concert to see ed and his guitar.

Oh no! I think Cornell is great.

Audioslave is my favorite ROCK band that is currently not part of some disfunctional soap opera.

With so few real rock bands to choose from though that's not saying much.

Default Sir, I do feel bad about all that

My VH story has been all uphill. I wish you could have experienced all the magic that I knew as a kid growing up as a VH fan. However, Who knows what the future holds for you?

Thanks for the welcome! I'm at work on a Saturday (small business owner) kinda of tying down some loose ends and following along as I go so no prodcutivity worries!

I'm glad to see I wasn't crazy. I mentioned one word about Cornell and the first post was ANTI!

I didn't know how any rock and roll lover couldn't like Cornell Great rock and roll voice, but not in VH. If we can't have Sam or Dave, I'd like to see a new band, and a fresh start.

I think you will find that the folks here have some very strong opinions and aren't afraid to tell you about them.....no, you not crazy.....at least in your opinion of Cornell...I feel he has one of the unique voices in rock....and we know his style lends well to an innovative guitar player....so why not in VH?...at the very least he should on the short list of vocalist that should be on (what I think should be) Eddies "Santana" album.....just a thought....I don't have many

You're absolutely right. I don't know much about Morello's work with Rage against the Machine, but his use of effects on the two Audioslave albums are great and Cornell's unique vocals make a nice blending.

I think Cornell would darken Ed a little. Might take him to a differnet level. Might not make him better but would probably stretch him somewhat.

Anyhow this all started as Ed and anybody! If we can't have Dave or Sam who else would everyone like to see the brothers hook up with?

I know that at least a few here don't care much for the "Rock-Rap" genre.....but IMO.....if you pick up a few Rage albums....if just for the guitar work ...you won't be dissapointed......and i have heard him say that Eddie was a big influence on his playing....and it is evident.....which makes him OK in my book......as far as singers I would like to hear record with Ed....hmmmm......a nice mix of Rock and some more mainsteam artists that would help record sales and indroduce our man to a new and younger audience.....

Since you're new here, I'll let you in on a secret. Everyone here LOVES Dave, Sammy and Gary equally. We NEVER discuss who's "better" than the other, and we certainly don't fight about it!
