Default Even if Dave came back, I don't think I could afford tickets

Considering how much they charged for the 2004 Sammy tour. there's no telling how much they would charge for tickets. I'm not even talking about "The Ring" or All Access tickets. Having a kid and $3.00 a gallon gas among other bills kind of makes it hard to Justify spending 3 to 4 hundred dollars for a ticket...I love this band but damn...How much do yo guys think they would go for??

It's funny to hear people talk about how high the prices where. For good seats I paid a whopping $57. Guess I lucked out.

I would never pay $300 or $400 hundred to see a concert. I don't care if Elvis comes back from the dead and plays Vegas.

$150 is the most I would pay and they better be DAMMMMMMM good seats.

If VH thinks they would sell out Arena's charging $200, $300, $400 they are dreaming!!! VH's days of being a mainstream act are over, they are a nostalgia act at this point. They would need another HUGE album for them to be able to charge U2 type prices.

Listening and watching Dave perform for FREE on the Tonight Show last week wasn't worth the time it took to download, so any DLR reunion would probably be only worthwhile for the instrumentals at this point. Unless Dave records all his vocals ahead of time, gets them processed so they dont sound like shit, and then lip-syncs. Poor Dave.

But yeah Sam's tix top out at like $60 for his shows and he's packing in 15k/night. Not too shabby.

As another said, VH would have to do some kind of huge seminal record to charge those kinds of prices and it just isn't going to happen. VH is about a different type of era and music than anything in the mainstream cares about today. Rock like this is just, frankly, dead with the mainstream public.

Since I never got to see CVH in person (or Dave SOLO for that matter), I'd pretty much pay anything to see 'em once. Money's no object. Sorry, but I'm a whore when it comes to all things VH... ...the REAL problem for me will time and place: six jr. will be here by then and hopefully I won't have to miss out for some family related thing...

Sam is smart, people will go to his shows for $20. Thats not much more than a movie. If the show is good people will go out and buy his CD's.

Lets face it - the majority people that are into VH are late 20's to early 40's, they have familys, mortgages, car payments and kids. They dont have a lot of spare time and dont wish to spend $500 for a night with VH.

I think if VH charged $200 for the best seats and $50 for an average seat they would have a full arena night after night. People would also start purchasing old VH CD's.

agreed on all counts. for acts like Sammy, and VH, the bottom line is that they aren't going to attract mainstream huge audiences so they need to have sensible ticket prices.

if they dont like that, they should bury the hatchet and work for their money by putting out a legitimate full length new CD that actually resonates with more than just nostalgia. Then maybe they can charge upwards of $100 for the shows.

Exactly!! Not another Greatest Hits Album with 3 or 4 new songs, it would need to be a album with all new songs and it would need to be GREAT and get lots of radio play.

I know that 90% of the people that post on this board and other VH related boards will go no matter what and there are those that will pay top dollar. The members of these boards maybe are 35,000 combined. Most of the people that attended the 1984 concert have long since forgotten about VH.
