I think I'll go back to listening to my CDs and not worrying about the soap opera lives these motherf#@kers live, and if the day comes that VH produce some new songs, I'll be more interested in whether they're any good than all the bullshit that it took to birth them.

Erm..Mike has already said that both he AND Sam were just employees of Eddie And Alex's for that tour. Hired guns. I doubt that Sammy had any more say in the matter than Mikey did.....

Like I said in the "ON THE RADIO" thread.
Mike was a hired hand who got paid accordingly, Sammy got more because he came up with the lyrics (as crappy as they were for the most part).
I only wonder what Lukather's pay was?

I'm sure Sam was paid more as a performer as well for the tour. Not to slight Mike,but Sam was more important to the band and to the promoters than Mike was. Plus, Sam has a viable solo career going and a lot of money coming in from his business ventures, so I'm sure it took more to bring him to the table.

Of course. No Sam, no 2004 tour. Sam had all the cards in his hand in early 04, since he knew the Bros had tried with DLR and it failed.
He was negotiating from a position of considerable strength and i'm sure he milked it to get a boatload of cash for that tour.
