I would feel that would be his stance with not only Ray, but WB too. Maybe a little more red tape to cut Ray out of the loop, or his ties may have been through WB contracts. Who knows? Maybe the next patent or new VH ventue will be VHtunz or something like that. Maybe Dave put a million bucks of his jack into a project with VH as well as the other 3 chippin' in a cool mill, and that's what it's taking to get everything done, legal as well as printing cds, lining up staging, etc. I have no idea what printing a major quantity of cd's would cost, as well as the initial cost of getting a tour going, but it can't be cheap. As has been stated, they would save an enormous amount of cash by working at 5150. Just thinkin' out loud.

While I would very much like to agree with you, I have to argue the contrary: no matter how badly Dave may hate WB, Ray Daniels, whomever... if the money is there, so will Dave! I mean, Dave would have to go back to Van Halen, right?

Unless Dave did like many other bands and snorted all his cash up his nose, he should not be in any dire need to give in for the sake of cash. He started his own label, probably finances his own tours now, so that takes some major coin, and one little thing people never mention, his dad's fucking loaded, a business success! Even with a contract that didn't exactly reward them as favorably as some, VH did quite well during the Dave era, as well as Dave's first 2 solo albums did quite well, and his tours had to make good money until, say the invention of grunge. If his claim of plugging a million of his own cash into his latest DVD is true, he has managed his jack in a profitable manner. No telling how much he got to write his book, and surely he made money this summer touring. I think he can and has made a stand.
